Study in US with F-1 Visa

The F-1 visa is required to enter the United States as a student after they receive the requisite I-20 or IAP-66 form from the institution that they have been accepted to. The F-1 visa is for full-time students enrolled in an academic or language program. F-1 students may stay in the US for the full length of their academic program plus 60 days. The dependents or Spouse of an F-1 holder can apply for an F-2 visa.

Documents:
  • Valid Passport
  • Photographs in specified format.
  • A Non-immigrant Visa Application (Form 156).
  • Other required forms.
  • Form I-20 executed by the authorizing official of institution concerned.
  • Evidence of financial ability to cover the costs of the education and maintenance involved
  • Visa fee.


All applicants should be prepared to provide:
  • Transcripts and diplomas from previous institutions attended
  • scores from standardized tests required by the educational institution such as the TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc.;
  • Financial evidence that the sponsors have sufficient funds to cover applicant’s tuition and living expenses.
  • Applicants with dependents must also provide:
  • Proof of the student’s relationship to his/her spouse and/or children (e.g., marriage and birth certificates.).
